There are an increasing number of travel websites out there. A lot of travel sales websites are based overseas and are not eligible for ATAS accreditation.
It’s important to know that if you book with a foreign business, you are not entitled to the consumer protections you are afforded by booking through a business registered in Australia.
If you have an issue with an overseas-based agent, you either need to find a solution with them directly or contact a consumer protection agency in that country.
